I am an incoming freshman for fall of 2012 and my parents do not want to pay for my college education at all. I am going to UC Merced and I recieved a Cal Grant Type A and a Bobcat Scholarship, together it is $17,000 but the average cost of attendance is roughly $33,500. What should I do? I am already on the list for work study ($5000) but I get paid by payroll.
What do I do? I want to go to college but if I can't pay, I can't go. I am just so tired of my parent yelling at me saying they can't pay and taking it out on me, when I am not I control of how much everything cost.
