I am currently studying in the IB diploma program with HL's Physics, Economics and Math and Sl's English, Spanish and Chemistry. I have got a 2110 in SAT 1 with 750 CR, 690 Math and 670 Writing with a 9 in the essay. I have got a 800 in Math Level 2 subject test and 770 in Physics. i plan to take SAT 1 again and aim to get a ~2300 superscore


I want to apply for a Computer Science Major but I have huge requirements for Financial Aid, so can you recommend any school that gives full or half tuition fees for International students - either need or merit based? I don't mind any good (ranked) place, or a liberal arts school, but I need that aid. Can you recommend a place with
1) Good Aid oppurtunities for international students
2) Well ranked comp sci department
3) diverse student body

for computer science - i have taken part in the ThinkQuest competition and am a finalist, I have taken part in a robotics camp and plan to take part in a robotics competition this year.

Consider WPI. They offer significant financial aid for some international students.

keya93, Cornell, Columbia, Middlebury and Vassar are not so generous for international applicants...at least for the last two or three years.
But utsavshah you can try anyway, because the four schools I mentioned give aid for a few highly-qualified applicants each year. And to be clear, how much you ask for matters for need-aware and need-sensitive colleges.

BTW i noticed that if you apply for financial aid, your chances go down like by a lot :/

If the colleges and universities don't believe that you need the aid, whether you apply for it or not won't be a problem. The problem is if you turn out to need more than they can afford to give you. Most colleges and universities will not admit an international student who needs more aid than they can fund.

If you truly need aid, you'd better apply for it. When you go for your visa interview, you will need to be able to demonstrate that you can pay for your education.
