UCI financial aid award for 2012-2013

The aid website says that awards will be handed out by the 27th. I still haven't received my aid. I don't know if that means I will lose grant money. How much need based gift aid did you receive ?

Are you a transfer student? Have you called the FA office? Call on Monday and ask.

What is your FAFSA EFC? Do you qualify for Cal Grants? Do you qualify for Blue and Gold?

I am not a transfer student. I did call the FA office but they are not picking up ...and I cannot go to the office because I am living far away for the summer. I do qualify for grants since my parents make around $14,000 yearly.

I am just worried because this happened my freshman and I ended up taking an emergency loan to pay for registration fees.

Send an email to the FA office and ask about your awards.

What aid did you get last year. It sounds like you qualify for Blue and Gold so you should get a good amount of aid.

The school may be running behind processing its FA awards for returning students. Did you submit your FAFSA late?

UC's don't start school til mid/late Sept so you have time.

No, I have always submitted my documents on time. However, I had forgetten to update the Fafsa during my previous years but it wasn't exactly a requirement. I did that this year though.

I guess I will go to their office on Monday...but I know they will give me the same response as usual.
