summer session financial aid

I'm a transfer student at UNC, in my junior year. Out of state as well. Planning on taking summer classes. I'm receiving around $15,000 in grants currently (for the year).

If I were to take summer courses, is it possible to get additional financial aid? Or is the grant they gave me for the entire year.

Most schools do not provide institutional grants in the summer. You can only borrow your annual loan limit each year, so if you have already borrowed that, you don't have any loan money available. If you do have loan money available, you must take the minimum number of credits required to be considered half time in order to borrow.

Typically, students have to pay the whole amount in summer.
