| drop class to maintain scholarship required gpa?
I go to a private school in southern ohio close to where i live. Luckily, after having a less than stellar gpa due to severe anxiety and a friend passing away last year, i have managed to keep my scholarship with the requirement that i get my gpa up by the end of the year. so far, thats been pretty good except for my business class. ive managed to save money by commuting and working 35 hours a week this past summer. ive been getting great grades in all my classes but this one. i also had another high school classmate pass away this past month, so its hard to concentrate in class.
the professor is adjunct, but instead of caring about her students, she only teaches two here and is HORRIBLE . i went to the marketing department to ask where her office was, but they told me basically to not even bother, because she leaves campus right after the two classes she teaches. she says the wrong things in class, to the point where my friend corrected her on a basic fact she stated. if you go on ratemyprofessors, she has nothing but horrible ratings. not one positive one.
the test average for our first test was horrible, and i got a 76 even after studying for hours. currently im taking 15 credit hours, if i drop it will go down to 12. the thing is, i can probably take this at my nearby community college (i took classes there this summer that transferred to save money so i can graduate on time and not waste money a fifth year). i can either attempt to get my grade up in this, or drop and get a really good gpa this semester. ill still be full time, but im not sure what to do. im a junior, so to get a marketing minor i should be taking as many related classes as i can, but i have to take this one first before doing any other classes for my minor. my advisor said its up to me, but this professor is the only one who teaches the class. im not sure what to do.
