Scholarships for Premature Babies ??

Is there a scholarship for premature babies?? I was born a little over two months early, I weighed two pounds threes ounces I almost died and it was a year after my mom had a mis carriage, I had a pretty rough start I also have asthma from this. I was just wondering if there were any scholarships for premies and if so the link would be greatly appreciated!

Our premie was three months early weighed 1# 10 oz. I don't know of ANY scholarships for this group. Is there maybe something from the hospital where you were born?

I would consider it a topic for overcoming adversity scholarships. Of course since you were a baby there was not much you could do. Maybe if you focused on the long term effects-asthma or if you are active in March of dimes or other premie charities?

soccerdude, that is pushing it a little bit unless it has been a MAJOR crusade on the part of the OP to work for those types of charities. One of our kids was a premie, but it never occurred to us to use that in the college apps... if health issues have affected your grades, you could put an explanation in your additional info section or ask your guidance counselor to handle letting colleges know. But that is all... and am not aware of any scholarships.

My premie ( who is now 30!), was a thirty weeker, but never heard of ( or thought to look for) related funding.
She does have learning differences which may be related and she wrote about coping with that for an essay.

There may well be a scholarship so funded. My son did get a scholarship for being a cancer survivor. If people want to fund a scholarship for preemies, that's fine with me.

I think there should be a scholarship for middle aged, double jointed people who were born premature and who have red hair.
