Upenn is a high reach for financial-aid internationals.
Bucknell offers Engineering, as does Swarthmore

I heard that small LAC usually gives more FA than big private schools, is this true? Also, how are some ivys'(brown, dartmouth, upenn, cornell) FA packages compared to LACs'?

Here are my stat:
SAT 1: 2080 (will retake. expect 2200+)
SAT 2: math2 800, chem 800, phys 770
rank top 5% in a super competitive school
good ECs
My family can pay only 20000 USD/yr
Can anyone list some reach/target/safety schools for me?
I am completely lost... my family should have been able to pay full cost, but due to the financial crisis, I now need a substantial amount of aid.

Hi ppl ..
I have a problem figuring out which university will give me good scholarship/aid . I am an international student.
My stats are just about average - since i am an international .. figuring out my GPA would be a problem .. but i guess an average of B- to B
My Sat score is 2030 - 700 M , 700 CR , 630 CW
I plan to do an Undergrad degree in Mech Eng

You won't know what your financial aid picture looks like until you actually apply to a school. Your first step is researching schools that fit you academically. Apply, and file your financial aid paperwork, just like everyone else.
To American ears, starting the conversation with "where can I get the most money" paints you as an unpleasant parasite. Your question is jarring and unpleasant.

Well, you can't apply to any school, if you can't afford it.
It would be perfect if you can attend at an school that fits academicly AND you can afford.
But as the financial situation of many really good students shows, this isn't the case, especially in times of the recession.
American Ears often don't need to hear the sound of financial aid as many schools are need-blind for them.
For us internationals, this isn't the case.

I got in EA with 82% FA at Colby-Sawyer College. So I'll advice all international students who need substantial financial aid to apply to Colby-Sawyer.
