What does this mean? This is was the statement that was included in a financial package "Your expected family cost to attend _____College may be reduced by upto $2400 per academic year if you secure an on-campus job through our Campus Employment program".

Does this sound like work-study or a regular job, and which ever it is, what are the differences to our oop expenses next year, if he secures such a job?

It sounds to me like a regular on-campus job, because the work-study would be included in the actual package, not as a statement added onto it. But, give the school a call to find out what they meant.
