Tips on Getting the Lilly Endowment Scholarship?

Recipients of the Lilly could you tell me what your stats were and why you think you got it? I'm not sure how good my chances are since I only have a couple hundred hours of community service.

I do not know much about this scholarship, but with only 142 award winners, you can bet it is going to have fierce competition. You cannot change the fact of your community service hours. Do your best to fulfill the required elements of the application, meet all deadlines, and stay on top of any follow up expected.

    Best of luck!

If money for college is an issue for you, I'd highly recommend spending a little time here on the Financial Aid & Scholarships forum and reading some of the threads to educate yourself. I've learned a lot in my time here!

It is based by county and I live in a small county with only a few competitive schools so I'm lucky. Nonetheless I still would like to know what they mainly focus on based on past winners' stats.

I don't know this specific scholarship, all I can say is you put your best foot forward and then you hope. Because it is so localized to your state, there is unlikely to be much chatter here about it, I'm sorry to say.

    Good luck!

And if anyone could tell me what they interview you about that would be helpful as well.
