Is that a specific engineering major or is it a "sub major" like a certificate program? What I mean is...Does Petroleum Engineering fall under Chemical Engineering?

If so, there are scholarships for Chem Eng.

College

Thanx for the answer mom2collegekid!
I'd like to know if there's a college offering full admission scholarship for 2010. I heard that Park University did it for 2009 fall academic year. I'm trying to transfer to a college from the US and looking for a full tuition scholarships if there's any.
Thanx for the answers ahead!

uzbek...

Are you already in college somewhere? You mention "transferring".

Did you hear that Park U gave a full tuition scholarship to an Int'l student or to a US resident? Most scholarships are not available to Int'l students. (I've never heard of Park U...is that a campus university or an online U?)

When you say "full admission scholarship," are you talking about tuition, room, board, books?

How much can your family contribute? And, what are your stats?

Have you looked at the thread for Int'l students?

I looked up Park U, and I don't see where it has any of its own scholarships.

Hi again, I know that a guy was enrolled to Park University and he's got full tuition scholarship (I guess it's called academic tuition), and he doesnt pay for classes attending...
Yes, I'm a student in Uzbekistan graduated 4 year out of 5 years and I'm on academic break now, and looking for a college in the US to transfer my studies!
My family can contribute for my college about 4000$ a year (2 semesters) hopefully (I know it's too little to have a chance to get to a college in the states, that's why I'm looking for scholarships)!

Not sure if this is the proper forum, so pre-apologies.

My D received a letter from the Robertson Scholars Program inviting her to apply for the scholarship.
She is a junior in HS and has just started her search. However, Duke has been her first choice since 8th grade.
My question: Is there any significance to the invite letter?

Thank you

Did your D take the PSAT as a sophomore? Or did she recently have a high score on the SAT or ACT?

Something must have triggered Duke into knowing about your child.

She did in fact take PSAT's last year. I don't think her scores were anything spectacular. Certainly not the 'projected SAT scores'

She did attend TN HOBY conference and the HOBY WLC. There was reference to HOBY in the letter. So that must be it. I wonder if all WLC attendees or all state conference attendees receive the letter...?

Thanks!
