on the strongest/weaskest subjects essays (essays 1 and 2) how many subject did you guys write about?
for my strong ones i put 3 subjects and went into a lot of detail about why i am passionate for those particular subjects
on the weakest subjects i only put down one but went into a lot of detail
the reason i am asking is because it says "subjectS", so is putting only one subject down bad?
i picked my weakest subject as english, which I had to struggle with a lot during middle school due to immigrating here, but I have earned straight A's in all my english classes in high school and i have only gotten 2 B's in my high school career
do i need to write why i got those B's
please help
thanks

The word "subjects" is really misleading in the first two essays. Many of the students I know who got the scholarship usually wrote no more than one or two subjects in either question. You don't get penalize if you do only one subject. I did one subject per essay, and I got it, so don't sweat it. The word should have been "subject(s)."

P.S. Subject might not even be academic. They did not say "academic subject," so in reality you can choose anything that you have had a struggle with. I wrote about some physical "deformity," and it worked just fine. So don't let academic be your only option, if you have had difficulty doing something and overcame it, then it is a worthy "subject" to write about.

bijoux, there was someone who asked the same question. go back a few pages and pm that person. or a better way is to call GMS and ask them.

One out of 11 isn't all that bad - it's probably far better than some of the national programs that award a much smaller number of scholarships.

Express mail. That's your only hope. Have the nominator/recommender fill out the supplements and then mail it first thing tomorrow morning.

Definitely finished writing my last essay around 6pm, and had my recommender submit his part of it later, around 9pm. I guess I was cutting it a little close? Whatever, it's DONE!!!
