freshnup - it's $1500 per year for four years. It's the only merit scholarship awarded by the US government.

How long were decisions released after the application was due? MA was due on June 1 (I mistyped 15 before); I'm just wondering when one can expect to hear back...

woo hoo! Thanks fireflyscout. That's some pretty good green. I just read on the Texas site that it won't be available to the student until 3-6 weeks after school starts.

The Byrd money will be sent directly to the college. Most colleges are aware of how the Byrd money is distributed and know when to expect it.

Has anyone from Ohio actually gotten information about this? The list was posted almost 3 weeks ago and I still haven't heard anything from my school or in the mail (I'm on the list =P).
