College Student, Looking for Scholarships

I'm a junior in college and having a very hard time finding scholarships. I've checked out College Board, Scholarship Coach, and others, but have came up with very little luck. It seems to me, that scholarships for students already in college is close to zero. My college does offer some scholarships for students in their third year, but the minimum GPA for those scholarships is usually a 3.7 GPA with a large list of extracurricular activities.

Where should I look for scholarships now that I'm a third year in college?

Fastweb and Sallie Mae provided me with the same disappointing results as College Board and Scholarship Coach.

Try ScholarshipPoints.

ScholarshipPoints offer monthly scholarships for students of all ages, along with several special scholarships throughout the year that all students are eligible to apply to. In addition, they also have a search engine to look for scholarships.

I am also a college student myself, so I understand what you mean when you say that scholarship opportunities for undergrads are very limited. I have been using ScholarshipPoints now for just about a year, and as they have grown in membership, they have continued to add additional scholarship opportunities.

Anyway, here is the site:

Check a few local ones too - our credit union scholarships are for college students as well. This one looks fun - a quiz bowl type thing:

My credit union had a scholarship offer in the fall and I ended up winning the award ($1500). That's really the only place I've found any luck.

Try googling scholarship info according to your major and be sure and put in your search current college student. We have found a lot of scholarships this way. In fact my son won one last year where there were not very many applications because no one knew about it. There is a wealth of information about scholarships on the internet, just have patience and search, search, search. Good luck!
