Do I have a shot?

I am applying for the Morehead-Cain, Park, and Belk scholarships to UNC-CH, NC State, and Davidson. I am currently number one in my class, and I am taking five AP courses in addition to the three I took last year. I have a 3.98 UW and 4.69 weighted GPA. My SATs are 800 math, 780 CR, and 690 writing, along with 720 chemistry and 750 US History SAT 2s. I am a National Merit Commended Student. I am currently a member of the marching band and the cross country team. I am president of the Interact Club, president of the National Honor Society, and vice president of my church's district youth council. In addition to this, I also participate in Key Club and Quiz Bowl team. Thanks for your help!

Here at Davidson, you've got a shot for belk, but its very very competitive. You have to be a strong people person because the interview is crucial to the selection process. You definitely have the stats to clear the first hurdle (ie becoming a semi-finalist), but after that it gets extremely competitive. most kids here on belk turned down offers from dartmouth, penn, princeton, harvard, amherst, etc. as a tool of comparison, i didn't make semifinal (and i sense i wasnt even close) and i got into rice, bowdoin, emory, UCLA, berkeley, UVA, and UNC all OOS
