Easy scholarships?

I've seen the sites for unusual scholarships.
I've seen the scholarships for female engineers.
I've seen the posts about applying to local scholarships.

Most of the unusual ones are hard to get, or I'm not applicable. The scholarships for female engineers, I will probably apply for, but they also seem pretty hard. I looked up local scholarships and they are either for a local state college, directed toward minorities, or are really hard to get (interviews, pageants, etc.)

Are there any scholarships that have about a 40% or higher chance of winning without significant effort in applying? Maybe due to less applicants? I'm looking for legit scholarships that are $100 or more and don't require extensive essays, etc.

SAT- 2100
GPA- 3.7/4.1

Thanks!!

If you're looking for money to pay for your education, typically outside scholarships are not the way to go. Those are often one time only and for small amounts. They're fine if you only need a small amount of money or you won't need the money for repeated years.

There's another student on this board who made the mistake of only seeking outside scholarships. He won a few - but they were for one year only. Now he's looking for how he's going to pay the shortfall for his sophomore year. He's too late to get institutional merit money from a college (which are typically renewable for each year), since those are mostly only available to incoming freshmen.

Schools like Rose-Hulman want more female engineers. However, some don't like the location. Their website also doesn't mention any specific amounts for their scholarships.

you may just need to apply to schools that have engineering that will give you good scholarships for your stats.
