parents divorce and remarried, fafsa?

if my parents are divorced, and i live with one parent who got married. who should fill out the fafsa?

The income and assets of the parent you live with (and their spouse) must be reported on FAFSA.

^So no information from the other parent goes in fafsa at all?

When parents are divorced...the only parent information on the FAFSA is for the custodial parent (the parent you reside with) and their spouse (if there is one).

If the student lives with both parents an EQUAL amount of the time, the parent (and spouse) reported on the FAFSA is the one with the HIGHER income.

Now...for the Profile, if needed...EVERYONE's income is reported (both parents and spouses if any).
