| Financial Aid + Undocumented Parent
Here's my situation.
I'm trying to fill out my FAFSA with my mother's information, but she's undocumented and pays taxes. I understand that this isn't a problem, and when speaking to someone on the FAFSA live help they told me I could just enter her tax ID number in place of the SSN. However, when doing this, the number would not match up with mom's name.
I'm also speaking to someone else on Live Help right now, and they're telling me that I would have to enter all zeros for her SSN, but I think I've tried that before, and it clashed with my entering actual amounts for other areas of the form.
I'm about to put down my father's information, because he is documented, but I don't live with him, not even the same state. I feel as if this would be the only thing I have left to resort to. I can't be the only one with this problem though, help?
