FSU questions for accepted student

Hi!

I hope that someone will be able to help me with some questions I have. I am deciding between UF (BFA) and FSU (BA).

I am interested in visiting over the next week and a half so was wondering if anyone here knew anything regarding shows over that time, overnight visits, class visitations, or meeting with current students, advisers, or professors.

I thank you all so much.

Hello!
FSU currently has "Come Back to the Five and Dime, Jimmy Dean, Jimmy Dean" mid-run right now. It closes 4/16 and that is our final production of the season. You may also sit in on classes if you make arrangements beforehand. I don't know that the Visitor's Center does overnight visits though. Please feel free to PM me if you have any questions :-)

I'm sure we are all appreciative of your very informative reply. It's better? How so?

As a current BA student at FSU. I will dissagree and say that I chose the BA at FSU over the BFA at UF when I was deciding which college to go to. The BFA at UF is still building and when I visited, it wasn't quite what I was looking for. I decided to take a broader approach and work toward a BA while auditioning for the BFA tracks throughout my career. I haven't once regretted my decision.

Just as another note: This thread is from last year. But thank you for your valued imput.

GO NOLES!!!

I was accepted into the BFA MT program at FSU next year. Actually, I've decided to go elsewhere, a program that I feel is more suited for me, BUT FSU was DEFINITELY high on my list. There was only 1 school higher, and I decided to go there. It was a VERY tough decision. FSU is one of the best programs. I've visited, researched the program, talked with current BFA students, and I really have so much respect for this program.

Definitely listen to Jinx2006. FSU is a better program than UF. Anyone who knows MT programs well enough will tell you the same. It's one of the best triple threat programs in the country.

Goodluck on your decision!

Recently I saw a tour of The Producers, and my favorite person in the show played Leo Bloom. He was a graduate of FSU with a BM in MT degree. He was most impressive and very funny, along with great skills in acting, singing, and dance.
