FSU music program

I auditioned to minor in music at FSU this weekend, I'm a percussionist. I know that the program is extremely competitive. Has anyone else auditioned? how long did it take you to get your decision? Did you get in? Anything anyone wants to share about the program would be appreciated

This may help a little, but maybe you already know all about this. I don't know much about it, except to be around the program over the years.

1. Kids who are music majors I've seen are very serious about their music (duh).

2. These kids have to endure 'juries' every so often and they get kind of stressed about it.

3. A lot of them join the Marching Chiefs band and have a blast. The Big 8 drum section is a favorite and they are always extremely good. The Chiefs get to travel to all the football games. The school, students and alumni like me are very proud of them. They are the best of probably any university there is.

4. It's always fun to walk through the music building and listen to the amazingly talented kids practice.

I suppose you're one of them, so good luck!
