Potential FSU Transfer

Hi,

My daughter has submitted an application to transfer from UCF to FSU (International Affairs major) for Fall 2009 semester. She completed her AA with a 4.0 from BCC and received a 3.4 this past semester at UCF, her cumulative gpa is now 3.89.

She did not directly transfer to FSU from BCC due to the lack of meeting the requirement for 2 consecutive foreign language classes, which she will have met by Fall 2009. What is the average transfer applicants gpa? Does anyone have an idea of where she will fall?

Thank you!
Nikki

nikki,
i've called and asked, and they don't really have an average GPA for transfers. if you have an AA, you definitely have an advantage. you receive priority. does she have an AA?
i don't think you have to worry. she has a good GPA.

Having a 3.89 gpa with all requirements for an AA plus the coursework FSU wants will likely get you admitted as a transfer student. Note that it is sometimes necessary to compete for a slot in an upper division program that is termed "limited access".
