Couple of Questions

I am currently a student at UCF taking the fall semester due to waiting for residency reclassification. I am seriously contemplating transfer to FSU for a variety of reason and would appreciate some information.

1. Chances- I have a 3.93 GPA on 62 CH, no A.A degree. Would be applying for Summer 10.

2. Anyone familiar with the Criminal Justice program at FSU?

3. Can transfer students apply for on campus housing?

Thanks.

The College of Criminology and Criminal Justice features the oldest such PhD program in the US and is highly rated nationally. Those scholars teach the undergraduate criminology courses.

Transfer students may apply for on-campus housing.

Be sure to ask Admissions if you qualify for the Honors Program.

Good luck!

p2n,

don't you have to come in direct from high school or after one semester of college work to be considered for the honors program?

This is an area I would suggest be explored with Admissions and Honors. Especially as so many students come to FSU as undergraduate applicants with many college credits already in hand. The typical Fall FSU freshman applicant presents some 20+ college credits already.

Thanks for the info parent2noles.

I'm still good without an A.A. right? I've heard stories of the admissions cuts....

The cuts are real, but with a 3.93 GPA in 62 credit hours of college-level work you are probably fine.

As a transfer with 60+ hours, I believe you have to both declare a major and be on schedule on the academic map for that major. So be sure that you check out the MAP's for the majors you are considering and have the prereq's and the milestones met when applying.
