Ragans Chances for Sophomore?

Hey, right now I'm a freshman and am wondering what my chances will be for getting housing in Ragans next year? My priority number was number 4,000-ish last year. Thanks!

Sorry to say, but you probably won't. I'm a sophomore this year, and applied at the end of last year for Ragans and didn't receive it...my priority number is about 3500. I didn't even receive a single in Landis...

=/ Sorry!

In the last year or two, there has been an increase in upperclassmen staying on campus. Last year as a freshman we asked housing about her chances for Ragans as a sophomore with a priority number of 30. They said "who knows." Problem is, if you submit a housing application you are obligating yourself to accept an assignment, even if it is not the one you want. She ended up getting a spot in her sorority house, for a lot less money. So we never submitted the application. I will have her ask around to see if she knows many sophomores in Ragans and what there numbers were. McCollum is not bad either.

ps there is a ragans group on facebook, you could post and ask there about who got in as sophomores.

I agree that there is an increase in the number of upperclassmen staying on campus.

Years ago the dorms were places to avoid, but now they are places to covet with no parking issues, no lease issues, no landlord problems and fewer roommate problems. Excepting the dorms on the list to be renovated, the other are pretty nice, if not nearly new. D2 elected to remain on campus and has a single in McCollum Hall. It is really very nice!

I'm currently a sophomore in Ragans, and I have a priority number of 89... my roommate from last year is also a sophomore in Ragans, and she was able to get in, though her priority number was a bit lower in rank... it was 265, I think.

Hm, that sucks. I really, really, reeeally want a single room next year. Do you know of any of the other dorms that I might have a chance of getting a single room in? I'm trying to figure out which order I would want to put down my choices. (Even though I know I still have time and all.)
