College of Business

Does the FSU College of Business have online classes like UF? If so, What percent of students take online classes? Do students get to do presentations or meet with the professor or students in their online classes?

I am not aware of any, but that does not mean they don't exist. At UF they suffered from overcrowding for years and used to offer "classes on tape" to compensate for the lack of faculty. They extolled the taped classes as enabling students to see a class they missed. I always considered it nonsense. Perhaps I'm old fashioned, but there's no substitute for interaction with faculty. However, a fair number of graduate classes are available online.

Here is a listing I found of FSU's online offerings: FSU Online - Current Undergraduate Course Offerings

I did not see any business classes except the online MBA courses for graduate students.

my son just got into the business school after completing all of the required courses needed to gain entry and has never taken a distance learning course. some of the required course and gen ed requirements (as is the case at most large universities) can be large lecture classes. If you want to avoid this, you can to a degree with a bit of searching on the course registration page. for example many non science majors take the intro bioligy class to fullfill the gen ed requirement for a science class with a lab. this class is historically one of the largest at fsu (600+ students). However, our son took a great course on meteorology which gave him the same lab crdit that is required for science. this was a much smaller class and he really enjoyed it.

fsu has so many paths one can take in their course selection. the business school classes don't reallly get smaller until you are actually in the school of business (usually sophmore or junior year).
