National Achievement FSU Scholarship and IB Credits

1. Does anyone know the amount or conditions? It seems to be something they don't like to talk about since the finaid office will discuss all other scholarships but this one. All I can get out of anyone is that "Oh there's a scholarship for that." It's not even listed on the site's scholarship page. =/

2. About IB credits.. Does this table: FSU Admissions | Credit | IB Credit

consider both higher and standard level exams to be the same, or is it just not considering standard level exams?

3. I noticed that for ITGS, it says that there is no direct equivalent, but that they award up to 6 credits for it. How does that work? o.O

Anyone have an answer (partial or full) to any of those?

I tried to find out if there were any scholarships for NMF or National Hispanic Scholars but had no luck getting anything out of them. Good luck. If you find out something please post. I do know that they give out a freshman scholarship worth $9600 but don't know what it takes to earn this scholarship.

Oh there is one

Q: Does Florida State offer the National Merit Scholarship?
The Office of Admissions offers a limited number of scholarships to National Merit Finalists, National Achievement Finalists, and National Hispanic Scholars. Please contact our office for more information.

Scholarships

but when you try to contact them, they won't say anything about the specifics. I guess I'll just wait until late January when I actually find out if I made it or not..

I have heard FSU has made a conscious decision not to "buy" national merit students any more. FSU still offers nice NM scholarships to state candidates.

Yeah, I'm in Florida though.

I hope they don't try to deduct anything when they find out I have a couple of other scholarships coming in (on top of the Florida Bright Futures scholarship) or I'll have $0 spending money..

I don't think they will. Neither D1 nor D2 lost anything.

That's good to know.

Oh and for any other prospective students, go to the collegeweeklive.com thing. It IS worth it. You can talk to admission reps and officers, actual students, and more. They answer questions on anything and they can actually pull your file at any time if need be. It was really insightful.
