Best time to visit?

When is usually the best time to make a campus visit? I wanted to go during Winter Break, but apparently the dorms will be closed off and barely any classes will be in session..

Would it be better to go sometime during my Spring Break (around April 3-10, IIRC)?

The first time I visited FSU, it was during winter break. There's not a soul on campus (except in the bookstore) and everything is closed.

I was able to tell the campus was nice and all and even able to get inside Doak which was impressive to me, but I would recommend making your first visit during one of the previews where you can take a tour, see what the campus looks like on a school day, and check out some of the residence halls. I believe you have until May 1 to send your deposit, and the previews are well before then. You'll get information on it with your acceptance though.

Your spring break would be a great time to visit! Spring semester will be in full swing and a lot of people will be on and around campus. That's a great time to see what the campus is like in the thick of the semester. I feel like the best time to come is in the fall but since its December, thats not an option of you, haha.

The best time to visit is when class is in session and on a week day. During FSU's winter break the dorms are closed and the students must check out for that time. There are no classes. The campus is DEAD.

Ah ok. I guess I'll have to wait until Spring. I really wanted to visit earlier so I could get a better gist of where most of my classes would be and how the dorms are. =/

Thanks guys!
