Just got a call from Fordham saying that because my enrollment form somehow was postmarked May 2nd and there is no room left in the class, I am unable to attend Fordham. I could have sworn I sent it in on/before May 1st, but I guess there's nothing I can do. I am really upset. Any comments, advice, etc.? (Please)
I don't think that there is anything you can do, besides write them an e mail or send them a letter explaining how much you want to go to Fordham. Although it is kind of ridiculous that they are doing this to you, you can't really blame them (if they have no space, then they'll do anything to cut as many people as possible)..good luck! I really hope it works out. Where are u planning on attending if Fordham doesnt work out?
Most likely Pace University. I got a lot of aid from them and I got accepted to their honors college. The thing is I told my mom about this who was the one who sent out the enrollment form, and she said that she sent it out on may 1st. Coud it be that the post office didn't empty that drop box or something?
Some people who deposited at Fordham might get accepted of a waitlist at another college and decide to enroll there, leaving a space. (Unless Fordham over-enrolled or had a unusually high yield this year.) I had no idea colleges were so strict about the may 1 rule.

Had Fordham gone to waitlist? If that is the case, then you had better have your GC call. You might want to talk to her about this any how. She might be able to talk to them.
GOOD LUCK (Fingers Crossed) but seriously I find that a bit mean from fordham, its understandable but whats the difference in them having lets say 527 students from one more making it 528.
I talked to my counselor today, and he said that they hadn't changed their mind, but i'm on the wait list, which has about a dozen people on it. So most likely i won't be going to fordham , but i might transfer.
