Chance me, por favor. (merci bien).

I am a high school junior. NYU is my DREAM SCHOOL, but if that doesn't work out, I just really want to go to school in NYC. I live in Massachusetts. I am a Chinese Male. I am the first to go to college in my family.

GPA: 3.33 (UW) 7.6 (W) (my school is out of 9 and really awkward.)

SAT: N/A, (What should I want to achieve?)

EC's:

Uplift (9)
Head volunteer at a summer program. Lead a class of 26 students. I volunteered for 86 hours.

Asian Culture Club (Member 9-10 Secretary 11)

Youth Leadership Academy (10)
We learned leadership skills throughout my sophomore year. At the end of Summer '08 we went to El Salvador to demonstrate these skills. We built a wall and got to learn so much about the people there.

Diocesan Youth Council (11 - 12)
30 youth are chosen out of The Episcopal Diocese of Massachusetts. From each deanery 1 youth is selected to vote at Diocesan Convention where we vote on issues within the church, and we vote on how our funds are spent. My senior year, I will be the delegate for the Boston Harbor Deanery. We plan retreats for the other youth in the diocese. It's really cool and lets me use the skills I acquired in Youth Leadership Academy.

School-life:

1 A.P: French 4.
2 Honors: Chinese 2, 3.

I take 3 languages. I speak 5 languages. At home, I speak Cantonese and Mandarin with my mom and dad. I did not know how to write in Chinese. At school, I take A.P French, Honors Chinese and Spanish year 2. This is my first year of Spanish, but I was allowed to skip year one because I demonstrated that I could excel in year 2.

I am a photography student and I LOVE IT. I LOVE IT. I LOVE IT. I always look forward to it and it is really rewarding developing my photographs.

I am utterly average at everything else. I plan on taking my SAT subject tests in:
Chinese
French
Spanish
and Biology.

What can I do to make me more appealing to NYU/Fordham?

Thanks,

Will
