Is my EFC number high?
 

I finished fafsa and it says my EFC number is 18072. The thing is my mom had a job all of 2011. However she was unemployed all of 2010 so we qualified as pell grant that year. I was selected as a finalist but because my mom had a job in 2011 I am worried with that EFC number. Ironically now my mom doesn't have a job again for 2012 and I can't reapply for this scholarship.

if you're going to college next year, you can't reapply. It's only for those who have never been to college.

Also, at this point if your EFC is 18,000 you won't qualify for the pell grant. It's for last year, so I don't know what else to tell you. There isn't anything you can do.

Uncf. I think that is it for the Houston or Texas branch.
