George Mason has a great Neuroscience program that I find really interesting, but I'm worried that the school's lacking academic repuatation may hinder my chances of getting into a medical school that isn't VCU Med. I got accepted into VT and I'm thinking that the school's name might give me a extra boost because medical school admissions have become so cutthroat over the years.
I'd say choose the one you're more comfortable with than choosing a school that is a bit more prestigious. What matters most is the grades you get and if you find neuroscience more interesting then I say go for it. George mason is actually not that bad of a school compared to Virginia Tech and it's starting to make a name for itself.
