I, too, would like to know about Lafayette. It wasn't available to visit on the admitted students day, but I hear it got renovated last year and is very nice.

Would current students agree that the MV campus is a lot quieter and more mello than Foggy Bottom?

Drugs, alcohol, and partying aren't my thing.

Adamb15: I would say it seems pretty mellow. I went on the campus one time and it looked almost dead! You wouldn't even think college students lived there xD

@adam MV is beautiful and so is west esp. but the shuttle can be a big hassle esp at like 8am with rush hour and stuff like that . but if you want the quiet, stay there

@Adam15
I'm not huge into partying either, that's one of the reasons why I chose the Vern. Yeah it's pretty mellow because most ppl have classes on foggy bottom, so they just stay down there for most of the day. Plus ppl do think the travel is a hassle. But the vern is nonetheless gorgeous, especially right now in this 80+ degree weather! Ppl are on the lawn/quad tanning and studying; it's just so serene. I also really like the surrounding neighborhood; it's really pretty. Oh and there's a CVS, Safeway, and other local stores nearby, so you don't have to worry about that.

Ah, past the editing time limit

Cont:

Also, is there anything else incoming freshmen should know about any of the dorms that the GW website doesn't tell us?

So they are no longer offering Lafayette as a Freshman residence hall. Which is, unfortunately, the one I wanted to stay in. There are now only 4 dorms on the Foggy Bottom campus available to freshman. Which sucks.

adababy845, how many do they ask you to list? Because with only 4 choices on Foggy Bottom, you're going to have to list some MV dorms (if they make you list more than 4).

Does anyone know if Madison is completely filled with jocks? I don't have anything against people who play sports (I've played sports too), but I don't want everyone I live with to judge me if I'd rather watch Netflix than go for a run.

That's good, yet, I really don't wanna live in Thurston. I need to decide whether it'd be better to live in West or Thurston -.-

Damn the MV campus :|
