Hi everyone.. I am a half time student and I'm still waiting to get my acceptance packet in the mail. At the same time although I submitted my documents financial aid hasn't processed it yet and they're saying that it will at least take 3 more weeks!

Worst issue, I've just been told that I will not be considered for any financial assistance (other than loans) because I'm a half time student despite it being a situation I have no choice on. I still need to know how much loans I can get before I make a decision. I emailed a few people but didn't really get much help. In fact it was a bit odd, because I asked for an extension for my decision date until I hear from Financial Aid but they replied and gave me the same date that admissions said they wanted to hear back from me anyway- so they didn't really extend it.

I'm really confused - is anyone in the same boat as me?

I got my packet today. However, I live in northern virginia 30 minutes away from DC. I have to let them know in a week if I'm attending and still no word on my financial aid :/

I still haven't gotten mine yet (Illinois). I was also told it would be a few weeks until we heard about financial aid. I do suggest you call the aid office though, as there was a problem with some of my forms that I didn't find out about until I called them... no idea what would have happened with my aid if I didn't. I really suggest calling if you haven't already just in case!

Only one week to decide and no financial aid information? I'm going to have to see if I can get an extension because it simply isn't possible for me to make a possible $60,000/year decision, in one week.

Also, still have not yet received my acceptance package, so even less time for me I suppose.

What is the average transfer GPA? Looking to transfer in Fall of 2013 with an associates in General Studies from a CC. Don't really have a lot of EC activities except a law office internship and my own business.

Haven't received my financial aid package and I was supposed to give them my decision by this Friday. I asked for a decision extension and they are now giving me until July 1st - hopefully it will come this week, I don't want to be behind on the housing application available on Monday!

Just checked my financial aid package on GWeb. Got the Board of Trustees scholarship, work study, and some grants totaling $38,750. The rest is 9k in loans. Doubt I'll be able to go, since this just covers a little more than tuition :/. That and I checked the schedule of classes and all of the classes for my major(Political Science) are closed, except for 3 or 4. So yeah, it looks like I'll be attending USC. @Trashd: the good thing about your scholarship and tuition is that they are both locked in for four years, no matter what. Even if your parents start to make $1mill/year, I'm 99% sure that the BoT scholarship is locked in!

@GuyAtCC: both are relative to what the family can afford. His family might make $30k and yours might make $300k. All relative.
