National merit semi finalists??

Does anyone know of kids who werent Finalist after being Semi finalists? I know the percentage is VERY low

I heard that as long as you turn everything in and your grades aren't bad and you're SAT scores are about in the same range as your PSAT scores and you actually have something to write down for extracurriculars, you're fine. If you can get into Georgetown, you're definitely fine.

Has anyone found out about that yet? I'm certan I am a finalist but I'm waiting to hear from my school.

My son just found out last week he is a NMS finalist and got accepted to his #1 choice Georgetown!!

That seems very odd Ragsypagsy, Considering the official website says finalists will be notified in February.

this document further elaborates that principals are mailed information on February 1st, and that Mail sent to finalists is done a week later. Something doesn't add up.
