If you have to ask this question you shouldn't be a doctor. Look at it from two angles. You got into NYU but you were waitlisted at Georgetown. What does that say about Georgetown? Secondly, Georgetown is a top 25 school and NYU is not. Think about that and you should have your answer. Only the Ivies and Stanford are more selective than Georgetown.
I'm going to be doing pre-med at georgetown while my brother did pre-med at NYU. They're both good schools and your getting a great education either way. In my opinion rankings don't really matter here, go where you want to be. Then again I'm not a college advisor and really am just another student. You should probably ask deans if you have questions about the programs.
