Fairly competitive NY public school, excellent teacher/counselor recommendations, art portfolio sent, decent essays, showed continued interest after initial deferral

Other: IB Diploma candidate (I really hope that actually mattered? Because right now it's feeling worthless...)

Waitlisted! after being deferred EA (SFS)

what really makes me mad at myself is that I didn't do any of the "continued interest" things after I got deferred because I just thought I was out of the running.

...but if they didn't hate me enough to outright reject me this time around, I probably had some hope.

  • Why you think you were accepted/deferred/denied: awesome interview, good essays, I'm pretty qualified, and I guess there's a bit of luck involved as well.
