I don't know if they have started or not. I was just curious do you know if it's by e-mail or phone? I know Gtown is a fan of the snail mail but they couldn't possibly be relying on that for the wait list.
no clue, but I'm suspecting post. I spoke with a admissions rep last week, and she said the committee wouldn't even meet to discuss the wait list until this week. Then they would give the word by "mail".
I don't think they made decisions already, but its possible. What I heard was just a rumor.
My son got in EA and received a phone call congratulating him came before the snail mail. It was only a few hours before the mail but my point is they do make phone calls.
Harvard accepted 150 people from their wait list (most in their history)... this will cause a ripple effect and may trickle down to the gt wait list! I am also sure that they already have been calling people to tell them that they have been accepted. My friend just heard from Emory. Good Luck!
"swimgcsto07: They are doing it by mail. I talked to the admissions rep today who said they never release admissions decisions over the phone."
---I'm frustrated with the admissions reps for giving us all this conflicting information!!! First they say, "all by mail" and then they call people to gauge interest and inform them of their acceptance-
--Now reps are telling people really different sets of numbers regarding how many will be taken from the waitlist --either 200-300 or 40 from each school.
Not that it's the end of the world, but OY VEh.
yeah I'm also really upset with all the conflicting information coming from georgetown. I also really dont like the general lack of communication. Since November I have received a limited number of letters, and confirmation announcements. Especially after April, I really wanted to know if my additional information was received by the right people, but GT would never answer me.
