I applied to Georgetown EA and was wondering if it would be wise to send in a supplemental resume. Essentially it would be a page or two describing my EC's, summer programs, etc. Will they still accept this if it is postmarked after the EA snail mail deadline (tomorrow Nov. 2)? What are your takes on this?

Don't do that. Instead, shoot the admin office a nice, short email consisting of:

"Dear admissions officer,

Please be advised of the following attributes not clearly outlined in my application:

<point 1>
<point 2>
IF YOU REALLY NEED TO <point 3>

Thank you for your attention.

I mailed mine on Friday. I felt it was important because my extracurriculars needed explanation (not just listing the name like on the app) and there was no space for volunteer experience (I went to Africa) or awards (I have many - NM Semifinalist, college book award, etc.). If yours adds several valuable pieces of information that are not on your application then I would send it. I cut it down to one page - took out the stuff already on the application. They're also helpful for getting a general picture of you on one page, so I put my SAT/ACT scores at the top along with my personal information. I would send it, and not in an email. It can't hurt you.

I gave my resume to my interviewer.....hopefully he sent it in on my behalf!

the irony of the above statement relative to the reality:

the resume, covered in feces, is now, slowly but surely, making its way to a sewage processing center.

People, cut the paperwork and send it electronically. No one likes to file papers.

Georgetown's electronic application is so stupidly designed I think they MUST prefer paper applications. I thought it was odd that there was no room anywhere to put awards, and my son really hasn't received that many.

they are good about email. Used it for my "resume-like" email and to tell them I'm not attending their school.

My daughter sent the resume last year with her application and sent it to the interviewer in advance. She was accepted EA.

DualSpace, my initial post was a replica of the email I sent last year. I stand to gain nothing from sabotaging anyone in this forum or anywhere else.

Ok, I was mistaken then. My apologies. I thought you were being sarcastic about your "resume-like" email. I took your advice and sent them that email last week. I'm just a little concerned because they never reply to emails.
