Conditional transfer acceptance

Hi I unfortunately got denied for fall 2011 but I got offered a conditional transfer acceptance for fall 2012 can anyone tell me more on this offer ?

I don't know what it means - but what are the conditions? If the conditions are reasonable maybe it is not a bad offer.

The conditions are that I take the required classes and get a 2.7 or above at any school, then apply for transfer for fall 2012

That offer is generally only offered to family members of big donors. Is that your case?

Nope no one in my family donates to tech but I am a legacy if that makes a difference ?

Gpa: 3.5 unweighted
Sat: 1850

I think it is a good deal. You can make a 2.7 at another college with no problem. I think Tech typically requires that transfers have a much higher GPA to transfer.

Yeah a 2.7 is definately achievable I just don't want to wait another year to finally be a yellow jacket!

Yes, it does. If you look at the website for Conditional Admission, it's labelled ".../legacy/". Just be careful that the classes you take are transferable (not all are) and that you take the right courses for your major.

So does that mean that as long as I follow these guide lines I'm automatically accepted ?
