So you are REQUIRED to have a laptop? What happens if you don't?

Wow, I can't believe you are required to have a laptop. I wonder if this is just part of a bigger picture for a plan to integrate the classrooom via online tools down the road? Or it's because the campus has wireless internet now (I heard they finally made the campus wireless, i graduated in summer 03'). Maybe they are requiring everyone to have a laptop so they can make a tuition increase to cover the cost/maintaince of the network, therefore justifiying the requirement. It just doesn't make sense for you to "need" a laptop in every or a majority of your classes.

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. I think I'll shoot them an email to see what they say. I mean, I never liked laptops, I was just thinking of getting a desktop and that's it.
