A few questions

I just got in as a transfer student and had a few questions.

First, am i guaranteed housing, and if so, i'll probably end up in north ave. Are these apts nice/safe/close to classes?
also, what's the aerospace program like at tech? are there good research opportunities, are the classes as hard as i've heard etc...

1. Also, I believe that all students are guaranteed housing if u apply by a certain date.

2.i am an incomming freshman so I may not be super helpful, but from what I have learned from my orientation, GT's aerospace engineering program is #2 in the country, behind only MIT. I have also heard that AE is one of the most difficult majors available at GT.

Aerospace is #2 engineering program, and yes it is a hard major. Your gpa will probably go down the hill, but hey its GT! My roomates where aerospace majors and they seemed happy though

Also, Lockheed Martin is very close to Tech (in Marietta), so I assume they hire a lot of Tech students.

North Ave. is straight. Its a little further out of the way than 5th street or the dorms, but the buses run through there and thats where they put all the upperclassmen...none of my friends had a problem with it last year. They're pretty nice...the only thing is you have to buy your own food. And it's def. safe. Ga State had some penitentiary like thing going on before Tech bought the apts.
