I'm currently a high school sophomore. Most of The Information below is accurate, some is an estimate for the the future based on the expected results of certain activities that I'm currently taking on. I have neglected to post any SAT score for I will not be taking the SATs till next September. I should also be receiving more rewards in the future that I have yet to post. With the given information below do I stand a GOOD chance of being accepted into Georgia Tech once I apply sometime next year, my junior year?

You won't get the IB Diploma or the High School Diploma if you get an early admit in your junior year.

Honestly, that program is too rare to give any good advice. There's maybe 1 or 2 students admitted a year, and most of those are of the 4.0 / 2300+ SAT variety.

I don't even think it should be a problem. You should be in. I got in with a worse GPA. You have everything required. Georgia Tech acceptance rate is really high. It is not hard to get in for undergrad. Many less stellar students apply.

As far as I know, you will simply be judged based on how you stack up against seniors. This depends greatly on your SAT scores.

When I said early admission I meant I would just apply early, I have no intention of leaving high school to pursue college prior to my graduating year.

Then you'd apply in the summer between junior and senior year at the earliest.

There's really no way of knowing your chances a full year in advance. Keep the GPA up and score 2000+ on the SAT with at least a 700+ in math, and you'll be fine.

Thanks for the encouragement...and I doubt I'll making a poor grade on the SATs.

Below 2000 isn't a poor score. It seems like it's only on CC that 2000 is an average - in real life it's only the very top students scoring over 2000, with "good students" scoring 1800+ and "average students" in the 1500 range.

That's really interesting, hopefully I'll score somewhere up there close to 1800 or higher, I didn't do real well on the PSAT, but currently I'm in the process of signing up for one of those Kaplan SAT study programs.
