@Majman, I received an email from them in early January saying that they will respond with a decision by late February. Looking at admission results on GradCafe, it seems like people have been getting offers already.

Did you check out Oregon Health Sciences University? I don't actually know much about their program. California schools are probably the next best bet - flights between CA (SF, LA, SD) and Seattle are pretty reasonable if your situation allows for that.

Just got a rejection notice from UPenn for BioE - email to check online status. Sad, but at least they were prompt. Acceptances went out Monday and rejections today.

so someone on grad cafe wrote that they got an email saying Northwestern has already sent out all their acceptance letters... why don't they just tell everyone else we're rejected already??

@bioenginerd, thank you so much! Not sure why I didn't look into any school in CA...

@thumper99, good luck! You never know what's going to happen. As sysbio said a couple pages back, the Schrodinger's cat's still in the box! :P

@cheme222- I'm not going to trust the grad cafe post until I get a rejection...there's still hope!

Did anyone get back from EECS/ECE at any of the top schools? GradCafe posts show acceptance from UniMichi, and interviews from UC Berkeley. Any updates from others, please?

Does the phrase "we are pleased to recommend you for admission" mean that I am accepted? I just want to make sure before I celebrate my first acceptance.

@reese8089 - it is more likely to be accepted, not sure though. Congrats! Which school?
