Are History and Social Science Grad Applicants Expected to Have Publications?

And if so, in undergraduate journals, or the ones graduate students and professors regularly get published in?

Thanks.

For undergrads, no. For someone in a MA program, if you have a publishable thesis, then it may be expected that you can try to get it published in a top-tier journal in your own sub-field.

Sounds reasonable, thanks! I feel like I have every area of my application/CV covered except for publications and awards/fellowships, and that makes me a little nervous.
