I am thinking of applying for Graduate school for History.
I have a few repeated courses on my transcript including history courses. Do they include the repeated courses when calculating your GPA?
At the school I transferred to from my community college they calculated my history major GPA as 2.2 bc they included all my repeats which included F's bc I was going through a tough time but had an upward trend and replaced those poor grades and got all A's and a couple of B's.
Currently at my University I'm doing well and my University GPA will be 3.8-3.9 as my university has a clean slate and doesn't include CC grades in the GPA.

Depends on the program. Some programs don't recalculate GPA at all, some may take into account classes you repeated and some may not. All programs, however, are going to require all of your transcripts. They don't look at your GPA in isolation - they look at it with respect to the program of study you undertook. So having a 3.4 won't matter if you have a 2.5 in all your history classes, and your As came from general electives, for example.

How many classes did you repeat? If it's just 1 or 2, that's fine, but more than that starts to look strange.

I repeated a college algebra class a few times bc my advisor kept telling me I would not earn my AA if I didn't pass. Found out later from a professor that was false and I didn't need college algebra and could've taken Liberal Arts math instead and got B's in those.
Took EUH 1001 & AMH 1010 three times. Got B's in final attempts.

I did HORRIBLY starting out at CC bc I had zero motivation and faith in myself.
Certain things happened and I got my act together and got all A's and a couple of B's for 3 semesters in a row.
So far things are going well at my University so hopefully I'll be able to maintain my grades. I just still feel too little too late at this point though.
I just wish I could start all over tbh, but what's done is done.
