| Research on Education/Education Policy
I'm an undergrad currently at Georgetown U. I'm really interested in working in Education Policy Advising/Research (particularly Science and Math education) in the future. I was thinking of doing a political econ undergrad, with minor in Math and in Science, Tech, and Intern. Affairs, and then pursuing grad school. But I'm unsure of what type of grad program would best fit this goal, and in order to be sure of my major I want to at least get an idea of the direction I would go in. There is a degree program on Economics and Education at Columbia that looked really interesting (I couldn't really find any other programs with this major). Would a Masters in Education do it? Or perhaps an MA in public policy, and I'll just take some extra education courses? Are there any other MA programs that could potentially prepare for work in this field that I missed? Do I have the right idea when it comes to undergrad major? In any case, I'm still debating on whether to trade my math minor to do instead a minor in Chem, or instead a double major in gov and econ. I know Econ grad school would require the math credits, but what about the other MA programs I mentioned? Thanks!
