Reporting All Schools

Hello,

I took a quarter of a summer intensive organic chemistry course at a community college. The professor was terrible and due to the fast pace, I was unable to keep up and basically stopped going. I ended up with an F. Will I need to report this one course I took during the summer when applying to a graduate school? How does the system work? If I do report this, how will it affect me? Will the school see the GPA at my current university, then see the 0.00 GPA at the community college and reject me?

most schools require that you send transcripts from all colleges, including community.

You should ask the schools what they want and, if you find a way to explain your situation, go for it. I doubt it will be the worst thing for them to see that grade ,though, if you did well on the GRE and have done research or something along those lines.

If a grad school wants to see all transcripts, you'll have to submit a transcript for the summer course. You can't hide past enrollment - it's all reported to the National Student Clearinghouse. Universities can easily find out if you are trying to hide something.
