| I believe that in general, it is generous, but I've certainly heard people here on CC complain about their awards, so it's hard to say.
My son didn't qualify for need-based aid, but he got $15,000 per year merit $$. As far as I can tell, Grinnell is one of very few top-ranked schools that is generous with merit $$. Oberlin offered almost as much.
His stats were: SAT I- 760, 790, 790, ACT-34, SAT II's- 760, 710, GPA-3.99uw, great recs , essays and EC's (no sports, but drama, music and quiz bowl). |
