Grinnell College President Pens "Admissions" Essay
From today's Wall Street Journal:
In a particularly competitive year for college admissions, The Wall Street Journal turned the tables on the presidents of 10 top colleges and universities with an unusual assignment: answer an essay question from their own school's application.
His essay is what I would have expected from a person with his insight and intellect. He has done a great job at Grinnell and will surely be missed. Too bad he didn't make his resignation effective one year later when my son graduates.
Very nice job, RKO! Not as amusing as my son's, but certainly more learned. Hey, maybe he'll stay around and teach. What I especially love about him is how straightforward and unpretentious he seems to be.
