The Career Center is pretty awesome. They've helped me a ton with cover letters and resumes, which are looked at by peer tutors. The nice thing about that is it is easy to get an appointment, and they are incredibly helpful. I called Friday morning at 10, and had an appointment for the same day at 11.
As for the actual career counselors, they have their strengths and weaknesses. A lot of Hamilton grads go into Econ, Gov, etc., so we have lots of connections in that area and as a result they have really solid placement. On the other hand, I was interested in interning in China this summer, and since there aren't a whole lot of alums over there, it is much more difficult to find something. Then again, a friend of mine will be interning in South Africa through something he was put in touch with by the Career Center.
