Hotels in the area

I am looking for a hotel near Hamilton, but when I read reviews there seems to be a lot of complaints. Can anybody recommend a hotel that they felt was good even if it is a short drive to Hamilton? I am looking for something like a Hampton Inn or Best Western, but not rundown.

Hamilton has a hotel on campus in the Bristol Center. Look into that.

I'd also vote for Bristol Center. It's hotel-like sleeping quarters that is right on campus. Very nice, and provides a built-in way to meet other parents or potential parents.

There is a Hampton Inn in Utica which is about a 20 minute drive to campus. If you are alone the Bristol Center is a good deal.

There are several hotels/motels in Utica. Red Roof, Best Western, Hampton Inn to name a few. Then there is a Marriott in New Hartford which is between Utica and Clinton. There is also a nice Radisson in downtown Utica, little more expensive but has a pool, restaurant, bar, etc. Mention Hamilton at all these places, might get a further discount.

Check out the B&B options in Clinton. My mom is partial to the Artful Lodger, but I have friends who have stayed in other places and also had very positive experiences.
