| Hamilton on public radio
Today there was a call-in show on public radio, where listeners reported on being turned down by colleges. One woman called in to say she received a letter from Colgate that began "Congratulations!", which actually turned out to be a rejection letter. She attended Hamilton instead & said that, in retrospect, it was the best thing that could have happened to her!
And my d, who was accepted by Hamilton but can't attend due to financial concerns, has been waiting until the final moment to choose a college - hoping against hope that Hamilton would realize what a wonderful opportunity they were losing, and give her some merit money. Sigh. At least this will be over in 3 days, and we can get on with our lives. Hopefully she will learn to love #2!
